A flagship initiative for mothers and children in Sri Lanka.
"Diviyata Diviyak" — meaning Life to Life — is the flagship community service project of the Rotaract Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (RACUSJ). Through six structured phases, we improve health, well-being, and quality of life for underprivileged mothers and children across Sri Lanka — from mental health support and maternal care to healthcare camps and cultural excursions.

Comprehensive mental health support connecting mothers to 24/7 crisis services, regional health units, and specialized maternal care across Sri Lanka — because help should never be out of reach.
Dirimaw
Maternal Health Awareness & Musical Therapy
Educational and emotional support sessions featuring stress management, musical therapy, and postpartum depression awareness for 125 expectant mothers across Moratuwa and Kolonnawa.
Senehedan
Donation Drive
Curated material care packages (cot sheets, baby towels, nappies, shirts, sanitary napkins) worth LKR 2,870 each, distributed to 125 expectant mothers to relieve financial burdens.
Suwapath
Regional Healthcare Camp & Screening Initiative
Multi-district mobile pediatric camp providing health screenings, vision care, dental treatments, and hygiene education to over 155 underprivileged students in Gampaha and Kalutara.
Senehasa Aran
School Outreach & Engagement
A day of outdoor recreation, musical games, group painting, and meal distribution for 26 primary school students facing severe economic hardships in Mahiyanganaya.
Sihina Yathra
Flagship Excursion
Educational and cultural excursion bridging societal gaps for 41 children from Vishaka Children's Home, Kalutara — creating memories and opportunities beyond institutional care.
[ 03 · 4.0 Impact Highlight ]
A first in Sri Lanka's youth-led service history.
RACUSJ became the first youth organization in Sri Lanka to conduct an early childhood development awareness session inside a prison compound — reaching incarcerated mothers permitted to keep children under five.
Facilitated by Mrs. Elizabeth Raheem, the session provided vital guidance on fostering children's mental and physical well-being — reaching over 150 mothers across 8 regions.

Diviyata Diviyak demonstrates a holistic approach to community development, addressing seven of the seventeen United Nations SDGs.
Providing essential supplies and support to underprivileged communities, directly alleviating poverty.
Maternal health sessions, mobile clinics, and neurodevelopmental support promote health and well-being.
Stationery packs and the autism resource website contribute to accessible education and learning.
